Hoof boots are an excellent way to provide temporary protection for a barefoot horse. Finding the right boot style and fit for your horse, pony or donkey can be difficult, especially when most people order their hoof boots online. We don’t sell hoof boots ourselves but we can help you find your perfect fit. Our boot fitting service makes it easier and less stressful for you to select the most appropriate boots for your horse.
During the appointment, we use our fit kits to determine the best brand and size of hoof boots. You can then purchase the recommended boots from a supplier. We work closely with The Hoof Boot Shop (online), who provide excellent service, and we are able to offer a £10 discount voucher to spend with the Hoof Boot Shop if you use our boot fitting service.

In order to fit your boots accurately, your horse must stand on a flat, hard surface with clean, dry feet. We recommend that the horse has been trimmed within the last 10 days, or a barefoot trim can be carried out alongside the boot fitting appointment.
For clients who are not using us as their regular farrier or trimmer, we respect their usual trimming methods. We will not provide comments on their horse’s trim during the boot fitting. Please provide details of your regular farrier or trimmer so we can reassure them that our advice will focus solely on hoof boots, without interfering with their existing client relationship with you.
